Halloween MMXXIII

Angel of Death

Halloween is a lifestyle, and every season is spooky season, but there's something extra special about dressing up during the official month of Halloween in celebration.

I have dabbled in SFX Makeup only a few times. I am by no-means a professional, but have a lot of fun experimenting with this art form. Thanks for checking it out.

I started by applying my regular foundation and powder and did my left eye makeup. To cover my right eye, I used a disposable eye patch and secured it with a thin layer of liquid latex.

From there, I used Viva Signature Cloth paper towels and liquid latex to build out the injured area. I also used a Q-Tip to create some dimension at my cheekbone. I don't know if I'd do that again or not, tbfh.

I tore open a thin circular area over my eye to create the feeling of an eye socket being present.

Now that I was happy with the overall size, I started adding foundation to the paper towel and liquid latex.

After I got my foundation on and set with translucent powder, it was time to go in with reds, blacks, and browns. I used a mix of Halloween makeup and eyeshadow. I really liked it even before the blood.

My favorite part - making it bloody, buddy! This first bit of blood was "Chunky Blood"

I was on a strict time limit, so this was the final look before heading to the show.

I couldn't help but add some final touches on the ride there.

This was at the end of the night. It held up really well and I had so much fun.
